sasha's bakeshop ("we", "us", the one-person bakery in SE Portland) runs this website at sashasbakeshop.com. Below is what happens with your information, in plain language.
What we collect
When you order: checkout happens on Stripe's secure payment page. Stripe collects your name, email, phone number, payment details, fulfillment choice, delivery address (if you choose delivery), and any notes you add. We see everything except your full payment details, which stay with Stripe. We use this information to bake, confirm, and hand over your order, and for the financial booking as necessary for records and tax information.
When you join the newsletter or a notify-me list: we collect your email address and use it to send you menus, journal posts, and order announcements. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing always works.
When you use the contact form: the form opens your own email app. No information related is stored on this website.
Just browsing: this site sets no cookies of its own and runs no ad trackers. To understand how many people visit, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless: it counts page views without cookies, without tracking you across other websites, and without collecting personal information.
What we never do
We never sell your information, rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone for marketing. Your email is for bake news only.
Third parties involved
A few services help run this site, and each handles some data under its own privacy policy:
Stripe processes payments (stripe.com/privacy). Cloudflare runs our checkout function and provides cookieless Web Analytics (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy). GitHub Pages hosts the site and, like any web host, may keep standard server logs including IP addresses. Google Fonts serves one of our typefaces, which means your browser requests a file from Google when the page loads. Links to Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook take you to those platforms, where their rules apply.
